Each client is individual, with different needs and desires. We take pride in our ability as listeners to make sure that we understand every nuance of your brief.
Each project responds to the natural environment, reducing carbon footprints, improving building performance and focusing on personal comfort.
Your home is a direct reflection of your personality. We consider your style, tastes and the way you live your life to design interiors that are unique to each client.
Amy is an architect with a passion for warm textural materials, a little bit retro, a little bit modern, and obsessed with clever use of small spaces. She takes a holistic approach to design – spaces to live; spaces to grow; spaces that reflect each clients personality.
Prior to founding Yellow Nest in early 2013, Amy completed her Bachelor of Architecture at The University of Melbourne and has gained a vast range of experience beginning in 2001 with FASHAM JOHNSON (Residential Design & Build Company) and ARCHITECTURE WORKS (Boutique Residential), before moving on to the larger companies THE BUCHAN GROUP (Retail + Commercial Design) GUYMER BAILEY ARCHITECTS (Commercial + Institutional Design) and SMARCHITECTURE (Boutique Residential).
Get in touch so we can have a quick chat about your project and gain a preliminary understanding of your brief. We will meet with you to walk through your home and help you understand the process of working with an architect, how long projects typically take, how much things will cost and prepare a fee proposal on this basis.
We develop the design using your brief, specific needs, taste and budget. The process begins with floor plans and includes exterior elevations that allow us to create the style and character of your home. We provide 3D views as standard to help you gain an understanding of how your home will look in its finished product.
Working with other specialist consultants such as engineers, energy assessors and surveyors we develop the design for building permit approval and construction. This includes the preparation of detailed drawings, specifications and schedules that describe the quality of materials, finishes and quality of work necessary to meet your requirements.
The majority of sites in Melbourne require town planning approval for building works from the relevant council. At Yellow Nest we drive the submission process with council, preparing all of the relevant documents and responding to councils queries. Yellow Nest is experienced in dealing with council for Rescode Compliance, Heritage Buildings and Subdivisions.
We respect that budget’s can be tight and our clients may see affordability as an essential aspect. At Yellow Nest we like to take that a step further than just construction costs by helping you reduce your living costs and impact on the environment with the incorporation Sustainable Design elements.
We will assist you to select your preferred builder. During construction, we will arrange and attend site meetings, reporting regularly about the progress of the project. Visiting the site periodically we will observe the general conformance of the construction on your behalf, and instruct the builder regarding design quality control, materials selections and performance.
Our experience with Yellow Nest has been entirely optimal in every respect. Amy Jeremiejczyk, the lead architect at Yellow Nest is highly professional, creative, innovative and flexible.
